Buckland_Abbey_03The Exeter Local History Society has a coach trip to Tavistock Museum and Buckland Abbey on Friday 13 March 2015.

Departing from Toby’s Pub, Middlemoor, at 10.30 to have coffee in Tavistock and visit the museum – full of fascinating artefacts relating to the mining history of Devon.

Then on to Buckland Abbey for lunch (or, weather permitting, consume a packed lunch in the gardens). Visit the Abbey and also the now-famous Rembrandt before leaving at 4.30 pm to return to Exeter.

Discounted Buckland Abbey entry is £8.50 (National Trust members go free!) plus £10 towards the coach and entry to Tavistock Museum. Parking at Toby’s is £2 – car share recommended !
